BCA (Honours) – 4 Years

Eligibility:

The candidate must be …
i. Citizen of India;
ii. Passed 12th (10+2) from any stream or equivalent exam
iii. Non-zero score in the CUTE (UG) 2026 Exam or
MAH-BCA/BBA/BMS/BBM MHT-CET-2026 Exam

Any one of the above entrance exams is compulsory for BBA admission.

Programme Overview

The BCA programme is designed to develop foundational knowledge and practical skills in computer applications. The curriculum includes Problem Solving and Programming in C, Computer Organization & Architecture, Discrete Mathematics and Statistics, Introduction to Data Science, HTML and Web Page Designing, Advanced C Programming, Introduction to Microcontrollers and Linear Algebra. Practical laboratory courses are also included to support hands-on learning.
The SPPU structure provides a 3-year BCA with Multidisciplinary Minor, along with options for 4-year BCA Honours with Research and Multidisciplinary Minor, 4-year BCA Honours and Multidisciplinary Minor, and 4-year BCA with Double Minor Degrees.

Specialization Areas:

The BCA curriculum provides opportunities to study Open Electives and Minor courses. The syllabus lists Open Electives such as Introduction to Data Science, Data Science Using Spreadsheet Software, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Software Tools for Office Administration.

The Minor course options include Programming with Python, Introduction to Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and Introduction to AR-VR, along with their practical courses where applicable.
